Thanks!

If the power goes out while the unit is running, it starts back up in the same mode and temperature settings when the power comes back on. If the power outage is less than 2 minutes, it will wait 2 minutes before starting to save wear on the compressor, but it does start up.

I'll be happy to check tomorrow. We are home now with the shore power plugged in, so I can run a simple test for you. On the trip, I always turned off the unit before shutting off shorepower, so that would not be of help to your question.

I think your best bet is removal for measurements, then start looking.

Trailers for Sale / Re: 2016 Livin Lite 16 TBS for Sale
September 15, 2023, 11:21:24 PM
Quote from: Chappy133 on September 14, 2023, 09:31:51 PMThe new owner is out enjoying his first camper. I was a little sad today when I went up to where my camper is stored and didn't see the ole 16 TBS.  Knowing that it has moved on to someone who is enjoying does make me glad it went to a good home.

How come I can't load pictures anymore?

I'll check with Paul.

Quote from: gzelna on September 09, 2023, 12:51:57 PMI need to dig into my 2017 16TBS trailer's brakes at 30k miles driven (that I know of) as I noticed a loss of trailer braking performance the tail end of this last trip. Not urgent as I am taking a 'camping break' after the summer's travels ! They may just need manual adjusting due to pad wear, I just don't know yet. If the pads are trashed, anybody done this 'conversion' and have advice for or against ?

Yes. After 2 grease seal leaks that ruined the right side non-self-adjusting brakes, I bought and installed all 4 new self-adjusting Dexter brake assemblies from etrailer. It was 4 bolts and electric wire splicing for each wheel. New grease seals and some new grease and an afternoon in my driveway got everything working perfectly again. I highly recommend it if you have low braking power both for the new brakes as well as the complete greasing.

No, in fact the opposite is the case. The maximum closure setting has the vents pointing straight down and right on someone below. To completely avoid cold air drafts on any one side, you would have to invent a cover or use tape. I'm sitting here on my couch this evening with the A/C on low fan and have the vents pointing straight out so the cold air is right along the ceiling and not on me. Pretty comfortable and doesn't feel drafty. If I were at the kitchen sink, the cold air would be right on my head. Camper life!

Campground Reviews / Re: Key West Navel Air Station

Quote from: Chappy133 on September 08, 2023, 06:46:28 PMWe ordered it with a decal delete option in October 2015.  They credited us and did a 4" bike bumper upgrade for free.

Now how to get the decals off the 21 RBS?

If the 21RBS decals are the same material as on my camper, they will leave their image behind on the paint when you remove them. The paint fades a bit over time where there are no decals.

In my 16TBS, the head unit and added amplifier are at the end of the cabinet over the sink, facing the door. I just used a hole saw drill and made 2 inch holes top and bottom, then fit round vent covers in each. Any excess heat vents by convection.

Yes, the inside air handler is a square, with a 12" X 1.5" outflow vent on all 4 sides that can be closed or directed vertically all the way from straight out to straight down. There is an approximately 12X12 intake with a filter in the center of the bottom. I put some extra filter material in the screen that's there to catch fine dust. The whole unit is thinner against the ceiling than the original Coleman, so no headroom issues for me. As an aside, RecPro has been great to deal with on shipping and questions. The only oddity for use is that when you push a button on the remote, the system has to think for a few seconds before responding.

Quick note.....the vents can't be completely closed tightly.

One more report.........today is a chilly and damp campsite on the Pacific coast where we'll be for a few days. The heat function is working perfectly, keeping us at a comfortable 69 degrees inside. It's drawing about 12 amps when the compressor is on and it's cycling infrequently.  :)

Another major test today. We crossed eastern Washington in 104F heat. It was still 98F when we arrived at our Corps of Engineers campground on the Snake River. The A/C cooled the interior so it was tolerable in about 20 minutes and this evening I'm enjoying 73F inside while it's still 92F outside and everything is nice and quiet with the compressor cycling off and on, so I know it's not running at full capacity.

Now if I could just figure out how to post photos?

So far, so good. It's worked quietly and very well in 90 degree heat here in Montana. Draws about 12 amps. I haven't even needed to set the fan on high yet.
