Title: Pellet smoker for camping
Post by: bae146 on March 04, 2019, 11:32:15 AM
This is my bbq/smoker for camping, uses 12v for startup, and to run the electronics.  The wood pellets provide the smoke and heat.

Very nice! It's like a mini Traeger! Where do you tap into the camper's 12V power supply, or does it just run straight to the battery (or batteries)?

I just hook up right to the battery.  It is almost the same size as the Traeger jr, but actually portable.  Its made by Green Mountain Grills.  It is the Davy Crockett model. It has a digital controller with wifi, temps from 150, to 550, it makes great food.

Wow! That IS just like a mini Traeger (as you said). That food looks great, and just like what comes off of our Traeger. Good job in picking that up!
