I know you. I've seen your posts from the old yahoo group. The VW Quicksilver combo was a good looking setup. I would say you are enjoying the extra storage of the new tow vehicle. Good to see you again.

Pictures did show on my iPhone. I'm also using TapTalk app.

I have a sister in that town. I might have to check out that campground.

It seems you have things well documented.  You deserve a full refund.

Nice job on your post and videos. Please keep the forum up to date on your situation.

Hang in there

I bought my 10.0 in 2012. I agree with a lot you have said. The tent is to tight. It is almost impossible to put up cold. I'm thinking of lengthing one end somehow for cold weather. Like extra material with buttons that I could snap on for cold setups.

I have only had one or two button issues total.  I don't use the snap tool. I did have a zipper issue on day one of ownership that was taken care of by livin lite. Although I will say it took a lot of effort on my part to get it fixed. I have learned to ignore the black scuff marks caused by the bars. I believe the more you stuff into your camper the more marks you will get. Also, I had to fix some bad engineering on my ac  box.

Otherwise it has been very a very good camper. No other issues. We have got a ton of use out of it.

Here are some bragging photos and videos from our month long adventure. Highlights of the trip were:

Sage Creek Badlands-caught some cool weather there. It was awesome. That's were the buffalo video was taken.

Custer State Park (my favorite)
Weather was great. Awesome trails and swimming holes for girls.

Tetons
Wife's favorite, absolutely Beautiful

Yellowstone
Always beautiful and awesome

Denny Creek Washington state
Beautiful campground, noisy next to interstate, but loved it. Also not far from Seattle.

Fort Stevens and Cannon Beach/Seaside Visit. One of my wife's favorite stops.

One picture is my ScanGauge reporting my trip milage and mpg average.

Just left there a couple days ago. I was in L1 for two nights and G262 for one night. The mosquitoes were a bit rough in those loops. They were really bad in g loop. I have a red quicksilver by the way.

Nice picture

Tow Vehicles / Something I didn't want to see...

CanAm RV in London, Ontario specializes in this sort of thing:

Taken in Dec 2014 when we drove up to have them reinforce the receiver of our Flex to handle more tongue weight.

I was about to mention the same thing. You beat me to it. I hear good things about their work. Mini Van upgrades is something they specialize in. Apparently they can turn a mini van into a towing machine.

I wonder if they installed the correct axle. You should compare axle numbers with someone with a similar trailer.

MPG / Re: How well do you do?
January 07, 2017, 09:07:25 PM
My 2009 Honda Van not towing traveling 65 mph will average 24-25mpg. That's loaded down with family.

Towing the 10.0, and loaded down with family and camping gear will get 18-20. Lately it's been closer to 18-19.

Air resistance is huge factor. I would buy a bike rack for the top of the van, but I don't want take a huge hit mpg when I travel across country during the Summers.

I bought the same suspension for my van and it has made a big difference.

I had the same issue. I found a very simple solution. I bought more Velcro and attached the extra Velcro to the factory Velcro straps that are located and under the cover when stored. It looks just like the factory Velcro and you can't even tell I added it.

My wife and I joked they were trying to save money on Velcro when they built it.
