This forum has been dead for a few weeks. I understand that most of us north of the M-D line have put our campers to bed for the winter, so we don't have much to talk about. For those further south, this is one of the best times to go camping: no heat, humidity or mosquitoes, so enjoy.

But now is the time to make some plans for next summer. Paul, Ross and others have talked about a Canadian meetup, either Parc National de la Mauricie near Trois Rivieres, Quebec or in NB. Since this is their home turf, I will let Paul and Ross decide where to go and post it here.

Others may want to arrange something closer to home. Just pick a place, maybe get some of your friends to buy in and post it here in the Aluminum Owner Gathering section.

Since very popular places fill up early and NPs start taking reservations about 6 months in advance, let's figure it all out and post early next year.

Have a merry Christmas everyone.

There may not be many post here, but I still check it every day to see who's talking.  Right now I am on my ship working a contract.  I have almost 250 days at sea this year, so when I'm on a contract I have a whole list of sites I monitor just to keep me busy.  I love to see people talking because it really gets boring out here.  Funny thing is that when I'm home, I hardly ever check the boards..  too busy playing then.

It is kind of a drag that there isn't more chatter, but I do realize it's winter lol. I will be camping on New Years weekend and maybe again in Feb. Gotta love the south. At any rate, I don't think I can make a Canada trip this year. I have to plan my vacation time around the Jeep events I attend or work, as well as my annual 4th of July and Thanksgiving trips.

I agree that get togethers need to be reasonable driving distance for most involved. Our PNW meet-up wasn't too bad and those that came from distance were part of the plan like Leslie on her way to Washington state to visit family. I still want to plan a trip through Utah hitting as many parks as time will allow. Just not sure when to do it. I am retiring this spring but will have to work to wife's schedule. We'll see😉

Yea! on retirement! It's really fun...........

Keep the forum posted on your Utah plans. With gbpack in AZ and others interested in the SW in '18, that looks like a good new place to go.
