Title: Tire recommendations for 2014 Ram 1500 Sport Crew Cab 2x4
Post by: Fatdog2 on April 11, 2019, 09:42:34 PM
I thought I would ask what's your favorite All season truck tire for 2014 Ram 1500 Sport crew cab 2x4 20" tires, for highway, city driving, maybe dirt road leading to Campground. I can't see running All terrain tires. Any thoughts are appreciated??

I can highly recommend the Michelin Defender LTX M/S for the RAM. It checks all your boxes. If you want a standard load tire for a comfortable ride and overall great performance, get this one:

Standard load
275/60R20 115T

If you want an E-rated light truck tire with a stiffer sidewall and higher inflation pressures for heavy loads, get this one:

Light Truck
LT275/65R20 126/123R E

Both are listed by the Tire Rack as fitting your RAM. The standard load tire is the OEM size and the light truck tire is slightly larger diameter (65 instead of 60 series sidewall).

I put Cooper Discoverer HTP tires on my 09 Ram 1500.  I've been very happy with them.  Tows great and gives a really nice ride.
