Thanks, these camper are small so I wanted to open up the floor space. With the bed turned there is room for beanbag chairs which works out great.

Next mod is to install a wood counter top that is straight, I can't stand that bump out on the end.

Did this mod also, turned the front bed sideways and made a small stand to support where the mattress overhangs. This made a HUGE difference in the amount of space available. Also like having a place for shoes under the wood shelf.

This mod makes more room for bean bag chairs and walk around space, easier access to the upper cabinets, and the wood shelf makes for more organized storage.

I pack light so the huge under bed storage wasn't needed and not having access to both sides of the bed was an acceptable trade off for everything else that was gained.

Here are pics. The dinette comes out in pieces, it is screwed in and you do have to remove some trim and panels to get to all the screws. I saved everything so the dinette can be reinstalled.

The floor of the slide was cut back to the depth I wanted then a piece of wood for the front face and C channel aluminum was screwed in place for a finished look and so there are no sharp corners.

Bought a 6" thick piece of dense foam and put a single bed sheet over it then a blanket for a better look. The old dinette cushions were cut down to create the backrest and I still need to add the snaps that will hold them to the back wall.

This set up works much better, it still serves as an eating area, it makes a roomy comfortable couch or bed for one, and most importantly does not block the path to the back of the camper when the slide is in.

There isn't much space under the 21BHS dinette seats only about the 1/3 of the way back and only on the sides. Also it is open on the bottom so you would need to do quite a bit of work to turn it into storage it is possible though.

I removed the dinette because it sucks. It is uncomfortable, tight, barely fits 3 people, and it blocks the path to bathroom when the slide is in. Now have a 74 x 30 6" thick foam mattress. Can still seat people at the table but it also serves as a huge couch or a comfortable bed for 1. Most importantly you can walk to bathroom with the slide in

It was $57,000 base price, not surprised at all it didn't sell when there are other similar campers for less than half that.

My fridge wouldn't cool very low either and I found a piece of insulation blocking the vent under the roof cover. Fridge works perfect once I removed that piece of insulation. 

This may not be your problem but you'll want to make sure the heat can get out.

Maybe adding a fan to the top vent blowing out will help, I saw a guy do that once he used zip ties to hold the fan to the vent cover.

Keep in mind an LP fridge can only cool like 50 degrees below ambient so if it is 100 degrees out and the sun is shining on the fridge side of the camper you are going to have decreased cooling.

Airstreams are overpriced JUNK. Lippert metal frames, chipboard floors, typical shoddy RV construction. Go read a bit on the AirForums, what thor has actually done is convince people Airstreams are quality and worth the high price when nothing could be further from the truth.

I owned 2010 QS 10.0 and it was a sweet little camper, now I have a 2016 21 BHS (last of the all aluminum) and it is an amazing camper for sure.

I have a 2016 built in 2015. I've done quite a few mods and my camper is great. There have been no structural failures of any kind and all the hidden areas I worked on have been well built.

Going to guess that some days are better than others in all manufacturing plants.

Red levers are emergency exit as they also don't have the locking button. If you have red levers on a window blocked by the awning that is part of the recall.

This all much ado about nothing, if you need to get out of camper fast are you really going to take the time to open a window and climb out or are you just going to take 3 steps towards the door.

What they probably omitted was they are changing the window levers to red on other windows. My 21 BHS has the red levers on the windows on the non awning side of the camper.

The outlet on my tank is also on the side so I plan on adding a blind tank fitting to the bottom so 100% of the water can drawn out.

This is proof that manufacturers only use an underbelly cover to save money. It takes time to route, bundle, and secure wiring, with a few bucks worth of plastic and some self tapping screws there is no need to neatly bundle the wiring.

Then they route a heater tube down there and presto! heated underbelly for 4 season use!!

Check out the Microlite Vymeron, it is small but the wheels are flush with the body sides

VRV does, so did ATC so you would have to find one used, and HW motorhomes has a Livinlite 615 in stock, just have to look around to find one.

I bought a generic cover for a 20 to 24 foot trailer. Only use it in the winter, have no link an internet search will turn up plenty of options.
