Speaking of orange lights, does anybody have a solution how to convert the white LED exterior entry light to a yellow/orange bug light?
I had replaced our porch light with an amber lens of the same model. I bought it from eTrailer but I don't see it on their website anymore. I did find this one from another retailer that I don't have any experience with.

September 28, 2020, 12:56:03 AM
Well, last month I sold our 2017 16TBS. Today I tallied up our travel log and here are the stats:
Purchased Dec 5th 2016. Sold Aug 22, 2020
Owned 1356 days
Number of trips: 34
Approximate miles traveled: 16,000
Nights used: 107
States visited: 10
It was a great trip and this has been a great community!
Looking forward to racking up the miles/nights/states in our new Lance. Bon Voyage!

Well, sold the 16TBS to a friend last Saturday, signed the papers for a new old stock 2019 Lance 1985 on Monday, secured financing on Wednesday and proceeded to find out my TV needs transmission work to the tune of $4k on Thursday. And to make matters worse, the part is on about a 2 week backorder aaaaaand we're supposed to go camping in the U.P. with friends in precisely 2 weeks. Grrrr. Will the part get here early? Will I have to cancel our trip? Will we go but hotel it with a brand new camper sitting at home? Will we take our chances and tow 1200 miles with a front differential that is whining? Not bad yet but....Will I find a truck to rent or borrow? I think those are all my options. Stay tuned....

The VW has both trans and diff problems or are those just 2 ways of saying the same thing?  I hope the part comes in!  If you can get the part number don't hesitate to do some searching on your own.
Differential. Apparently it's a fairly common issue. :(
Oh, and I forgot the ultimate option....new TV!

Actually, what you want is "you already had Covid" as the result. When everyone hits that, the virus will die out for lack of hosts to infect.
Not. Yet.

We just got back from a trip east - the first time we've ever camped to the east of MI/IN/KY. We stayed in 3 different state parks in 3 different states - Ohio (Barkcamp), Pennsylvania (Caledonia) and Indiana (Versailles). Each campground was practicing safe distancing and cleaning practices. The PA shower house was the absolute cleanest I've ever experienced. I think they were cleaning it twice a day. We mostly used the camper shower but used the shower house there during off-peak times to save our water supply. We were there mid-week so the campground was not full.

Travel-wise was a mixed experience. In some places nearly 100% masking in public and in others almost none. We had perfect weather so was able to sit outside at a couple of breweries and have a beer but otherwise we had all our meals at the camper or carried out a couple of fast food meals while we were on the road. We found that many things we would do when we travel were not open. I saved a ton of money on this trip because we didn't have any dinners out, no impromptu strolling through shopping/tourist areas spending money and no admission/parking fees at tourist stops. We did the auto tour of Gettysburg but the visitor center was closed the days we were there. Unfortunate because I would have liked to check it out since it is new since the last time we were there.

To be on the safe side I plan to get a covid test in a couple of days and stay away from people/places until I get a negative result back. Pretty easy to do when one of us is working from home and the other is retired.

Last week we were camping in 95 degree and high humidity conditions. Like others here I have added a couple fans inside the outer fridge compartment to move air but sometimes it seems it just needs more flow so this is what I tried. I plugged this fan in and left it running the entire 4 days and all our food stayed good and cold. It moved a lot of hot air out of the compartment.

Right? It's the low point of what exactly?

Yes, it's the single axle. I'm guessing that the low point drains were positioned due to the position of the tank support bracket which put them right in front of the tank drain and intake points. Right around the corner to the left of the current drain (which doesn't have the valve on it in this picture) is the other capped port that I posted the picture of initially. I'd like to move the drain valve to the front of the tank for both better draining and easier access. I'll actually probably route a hose out to the side to a valve to drain for easier access than reaching a foot or further under the edge of the camper. I'm just not sure if I can just twist off that front cap and find that it is threaded and ready for a fitting to be installed. I'm guessing that it is but would like to know for sure before I go and mess it all up and then have to drop and replace the tank!

Livin Lite General Discussion / Water tank mod
June 21, 2020, 03:52:31 PM
Hi all,
I've always had issues with draining all the water out of my tank due to the placement of the drain valve. I'm wanting to relocate it and in the process it would be great to maybe get a pressure washer hose inside to give it a good (careful) cleaning while it's open. The location of the current drain valve is so inconvenient. I can barely get hold of it to open/close and the access to it is blocked by the two lowpoint drain hoses. I noticed that the tank has several of these ports on it which seem like they were done in the manufacturing process to give the builder options of where to place drains and intakes. From what I can find online (not much) it seems that maybe I can simply twist one of these open to gain access and then install whatever type of plug or valve I want. Thoughts? Appreciate any advice.
