Title: New Owner
Post by: PebblePrincess on April 02, 2017, 10:14:35 PM
Just placed my order for a 8.5x28FBA. Should take delivery in early May. This will be my first Toy Hauler to own. Spent a lot of time living in trailers in the oil fields of West Texas, and I saw how most stand up to true use. This is what moved me to the aluminum trailers. Looking forward to spending some good time outdoors.

Welcome! I hope May comes quicker that usual for you! What toys will be in your toy hauler?

Thank you Merlin. I have a Rzr that will be hauled as well as a Victory Cross Country. Looking forward to taking the bike out west in the coming years. Current plans for this year is to stay around the Oklahoma, Arkansas, Texas area. Plan on upgrading my TV next year to give us a little more freedom to explore.

Probably going to go with a F350. Mainly for the diesel fuel economy and payload capacity. I love my Tundra, but the fuel economy just pulling my Rzr on a 7x14 pipe top trailer is atrocious. I know it's way overkill for this trailer but I figure I will be future proof if I buy anymore toys. I spent too many years pulling over weight trailers with under sized TVs in my field days.

Trailer order was officially placed today. I verified that it will supposedly be a 2018 year model with expected delivery date on or before 05/15. Now the grueling wait begins.

 8) Welcome !  Good choice on the new Toy Hauler.  We have the Axxess  30' and enjoy it immensely.  We just got home from the MotoGP races in Austin.  I had an Indian Chieftain and a Kaw Vaquero inside.  I had to load the bikes end to end to keep enough weight forward of the axles.  They're great units. Hope you receive yours soon !  Good luck !  We're about an hour from Winstar Casino....give us a shout and we'll meet you for ribs at Toby Keith's or a ride around Lake Murray !

Headed South of the Red River on Friday to pickup the new trailer. Hoping the factory got all the major things correct since we have a weekend planned next week. I will update with pictures this weekend.

Picked up the new unit Wednesday the 24. Walk through went good, only thing wrong was the generator cover was missing. Living Lite is supposed to drop ship me one. Took it out for the 4 day weekend and everything worked well. Will be going through it fixing some of the manufacturing corner cutting this week. I'll get some photos up when I get a chance.

unfortunately we are going to need a 4 seater in a year or so...then the little 8.5x18 will have to go

Looks good Thudd. I was actually looking at the 24' but figured at some points my toys would grow so I might as well be prepared. Haven't loaded toys yet, want to take her out a couple of more times to verify all is good before.

good call on going larger.  i went just big enough and will definitely have to upgrade soon.

not sure where they mounted your tie down points, but i have since moved mine from when the pic was taken.  they just werent wide enough for a rzr (you can see my tires are actually almost covering the fronts).

if i had ordered it (instead of buying off of the lot) i would've ordered recessed tracks

WOW, nice Toyhauler. All you need now is a Red TV.
