I'm searching for one of these grill windscreens. This company is out of business, so if anyone knows where I can buy one, please let me know. Thanks.

Trip Report/Photos / Re: Jekyll Island, GA

Merlin, most of the damage from last year's hurricanes was north of Myrtle Beach into NC. We live just outside of Charleston, SC and suffered no damage last year.

Don't let the ticks deter you from visiting Jekyll Island. It's definitely worth visiting. While we were at the camp ground, we saw another CampLite which is a first for us. Unfortunately, the owners were never around for us to meet.

Trip Report/Photos / Jekyll Island, GA
January 27, 2019, 09:56:39 PM
We just returned from 5 days of camping at Jekyll Island. The island is beautiful and the historic inn is amazing. The weather was perfect, lows in the upper 30s and highs in up 60s. However, if you plan to visit with your dog, beware that the ticks are really bad and protect them with tick preventative.

For those really stubborn black streaks, I have had good luck with Thetford's Black Streak remover.

Turtle Wax ICE is the best I have ever found, and it can be used on plastic as well as metal. ICE doesn't require heavy buffing. I put it on with an applicator sponge and wipe it off with a microfiber cloth. I normally get 6 to 8 months of good water beading between applications.

looks great, do you have a link for the door you installed?

Here is the link to the door.

I installed the Nautilus retractable shower door this weekend. I was tired of cleaning up water on the floor every time someone took a shower.

The installation was very easy. I can't wait to use it on our next trip. Only thing I wish I had done was order the 64 inch door.

Yesterday on my 2018 Camplite 21BHS,  I noticed 4 softball size bubbles in the tile floor in random locations, where the adhesive has failed. Anyone else able to fix this with a hyperdermic needle and glue, or by some other method?

Gary, I cannot believe all the problems that you've had to work through with your 2018. It sure seems like they owe you a huge refund for all of the repairs. I have also been amazed how you have been able to fix these issues.

Yes, I removed the bottom of the molding on both sides to fit the bottom track of an Irvine shower door. It's one of the best mods I've done to the camper. Easy to install, easy to use, easy to maintain, and works just right. I purchased one that left a small (few inches) gap at the top so the stall has some ventilation when being used. The bottom track fit just right against the shower stall side and I used mildew resistant silicone caulk made for bathrooms to seal all the joints/seams.

Thanks for the reply.

I'm thinking about replacing my shower curtain in our 21rbs with a Nautilis retractable shower door. The only thing that has me second guessing this project is the molding where the shower wall meets the shower pan. I would need to shorten the two side pieces in order to fit the new retractable shower door. It doesn't look like it would effect anything if the molding was shortened. I'm assuming the shower walls overlap the shower pan. The molding only appears to be held in with a few screws and some silicone caulk.

Has anyone removed this molding?

Campground Reviews / Re: Myrtle Beach State Park

We stayed at Huntington Beach SP the second week of March. The camp ground is clean but nothing special. However, we had a great time touring the house at the SP and Brookgreen Gardens across the road from the SP. It was a little chilly when we were there, but the azaleas were in full bloom. The beach was very nice, and you are not stuck in all the craziness that comes with Myrtle Beach.

My wife and I went up to Twin Lakes Campground to visit our daughter this past weekend.  First time staying at a USACE campground.  We couldn't get over how nice it was.  The campground has over 100 spots with most of them being lakefront.  This was the view from our spot overlooking Lake Hartwell.  We were impressed with the ample space between sites, the cleanliness of the grounds and the friendliness of the attendants.

Do you have the factory "Bias Ply" tires or Radial.

I too have the F150, and 21RBS along with a WDH. Last year I had to replace the original tires, and this time put radials on it.

I too have run with the tank full, and yes there is a difference, but the difference after going to radials were like night and day. Baby tows like a dream now, rock solid back there and sway is very much reduced.

Remember that for the time you need to replace the tires.

You are correct. I just replaced my factory tires with radials. The combination of new tires and the additional weight makes the camper tow like it is stuck to the back of my truck.
