Thanks Paul. Good to have it back!

That's good to hear. Yes, brakes can last a long time if they're set up correctly. Last summer I took the camper in for probably it's 5th bearing repack. We had about 25,000 miles on the trailer at that time, so I was fully prepared to hear that we needed new brakes as well since they were still the originals. But the guy said they were still good for a while yet! This summer we're on a 3-month camping trip and will probably put another 10,000 miles on the camper, so I'm thinking that I'll have them change out the brakes (along with another bearing repack) when we get back.

After camping over 5 years in our 21BHS (without any tire incidents) we got a TPMS for the trailer when we bought our new Ram 2500. It was an option that you can get with the truck and it's basically just 4 valve stems that communicate directly with the dashboard display in front of the steering wheel. At that same time we also bought new tires for the camper and had the guy at Discount Tire install the TPMS stems on the camper wheels when changing out the tires. It works great and is so nice to be able to monitor the pressure of each camper wheel.

Thanks David. I found a video on how to do it as well. Appreciate your quick response.

Hi guys. We're getting ready to embark on a long summer camping trip and I thought it would be prudent to know how to manually move the Schwintek slide in or out if one (or more) of the motors aren't working. Can any of you tell me what the steps are to do this? I believe the slide control until is above the refrigerator in our CampLite 21BHS. Thank you!

Welcome! Yes, we absolutely loved the Big Bend area when we were down there 3 years ago. Will definitely go back again someday (and stay longer)!

Welcome! Yes, this one is better than the one on FaceBook (IMHO).

Hi folks. We want to install a small sink in the shower but I can't find any of the past threads about doing that either in this forum or in the archives. And I don't see any on Amazon. Can anyone post a link for the little sink that is part of the shower faucet assembly? It was all built in one piece together (the shower faucet controls and the sink). Thanks so much!

Good to know Powderhounds. Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. Merlin, if you'll remember, we have a large battery box up front with a lid that slides from side to side (or completely off if needed). So they are locked down inside of that. There are compartments on each side of the batteries for wheel chocks and leveling blocks, and rubber pads for under the stabilizing jacks.

So the deed is done. We bought two 6-volt golf cart Trojan AGM batteries and had new cables installed as well. And the existing converter seems to be doing well with charging them. No more battery and corrosion problems. As is well in the world! Thanks everyone for all of your assistance!

Thanks Merlin. The more I read about AGM's, it doesn't sound like they need a different converter than what is already installed I our trailers. And as I read the responses from you and David it sounds like the preferred configuration would be two 12-volt AGM's wired in parallel instead of two 6-volt AGM's wired in series, is that correct?

Thanks David. I will look into the converter you mention. And yes, I'm certain that the corrosion from our FLA's is due to sulfuric acid off-gassing during the charging period. It's just nasty and a constant problem, so that is why we're probably going to go with AGM's. I know that others on this board have put them in and I don't think they've changed out their converters, so I look forward to hearing from them. Thanks again for the quick and informative response.
