Camplite and Bearcat Travel Trailers / Roof Vents
March 26, 2018, 10:20:26 PM
Well, they didn't last long, replaced all three roof vent covers, UV damage was incredible, the rig is only three years old and the vent covers were so degraded that one broke, (they were very brittle) when a heavy wet snow accumulated on the roof. On a side note, the windows still look new. Any body else replace them yet? My previous TT was seven years old, the vent covers were faded and cloudy, but they were still in one piece when I sold it.

Price's will be going up after tonight, from $10 to $80.
Camplite and Bearcat Travel Trailers / Rear Bumper
July 05, 2017, 04:55:32 PM
Finally getting the repairs done on the frame, I'm going to add to the rear bumper so I can attach my bike rack and was wondering if anyone knows what grade aluminum is used in the frame. I'll post some pic's when its done. Also, I removed all the wiring from the rears lights and was considering re-routing it on the outside, it would make it easier to reinstall, has anyone gone that rout?
Well, I can't say I'm shocked, but I had a leak in the trailer, the caulking where the roof meets the front cap was dried out and cracking. It came off in pieces, that lasted about two years or so, (2015 21RBS). I cleaned it up, removed the loose caulking and put down a 4" strip of "EturnaBond" across the entire width of the roof. I've used this product in the past and has worked well, I had it on my old trailer for 4 years and it was still intact when I sold it.
I inspected the rest of the caulking and it'll have to be replaced eventually, (by that I mean before I store it for the winter). I don't know what they used, but I would think it should have lasted more then it did, anyone else with caulking problems?
How long has anyone had their Camplite? Hows it holding up in the real world? Mine is two years old and no major issues with it, other then the frame welds, which I hope to take care of when the weather clears up, ( in the spring). No leaks, all the appliances work as they should, no problems with the slide.

Been bringing my double ender for last 15 years, last year I purchased a square stern and a 2.5 Suzuki. As much as I like to paddle,  its the last thing I want to do when heading in from fishing when the sun is going down. What do you bring?
Campground Reviews / New England and Pa.

Almost all our camping has been done in the northeast, and the majority has been in State Campgrounds. With that being said all the state parks have been great, except for some of the public bathrooms. It has been a hit and miss experience, some you wouldn't use on a bet and others were fine. How do your state campgrounds rate?
