Hi Merlin - any chance you could send pics of that venting?  Thanks.

Thanks Merlin.  How did you vent the unit?

So... I finally upgraded my OEM junk speakers to Sony XS-FB1330's.  Much better sound.  EXCEPT:  I get some clipping and static etc at modest volume levels.  Makes sense though because that Jensen AWM968 receiver is way underpowered.  I need to add an amp.  Crutchfield suggested the Infinity DSP 4425.  Merlin I see you added a Clarion amp.  How do you like it?  Particularly, how difficult is the install?  Crutchfield mentioned something about needing to add a wire to the battery which sounds like a lot of work....

Merlin - do you notice a benefit from the 185 versus 175?  Does your trailer have tandem axles?

My tires are 175 / 80 / R13 on my tandem axle 16 CLTBS.  Has anyone gone up one size?  My local tire shop is
recommending that I do so for better handling.

Merlin, a year later now, are you happy with those Maxxis 8008 Plus tires?

My diamond plate lower wrap on my 2016 CL16 TBS is detaching from the aluminum frame.  This is allowing water to splash up through the gap.  I talked to a sheet metal guy who suggested he could make a strip of aluminum to secure the diamond plate to the frame and thus close that gap as well but haven't been able to get a quote from him.  What have others done to remediate this issue?

Other Brands of Aluminum Camper / Re: Alto F2414 TT

That may be our next trailer.  I have been a fan since it was introduced.  Will never own a single axle trailer so that limits the playing field for high quality lightweight trailers to tow with my 2023 Honda Ridgeline.

I need one too, with the screen, for the window over my sink in my 2016 TBS.

I agree with David.  Surprising they didn't make it lighter.

Trailers for Sale / Re: 2017 21RBS for sale

I recall you tow with a Honda Ridgeline like me.  Why are you deciding to sell your trailer?

I'm (finally) ready to replace my speakers.  If anyone has done the same would like to know what you bought.

Livin Lite General Discussion / Aluminum Wrap
August 22, 2022, 02:08:49 AM
Couple questions about the aluminum wrap on driver's side of camper.

1) What is the purpose of this metal piece that is broken?

2)  The whole tab piece is missing toward the front.  Not sure what it is for.

The whole black strip is unattached because the aluminum bracket around each screw is cracked.  Am thinking about putting a stainless steel washer and screw in there to hold it. Any thoughts?

Thanks.

Yes it is aluminum (tongue and groove) subfloor from underneath.  Thanks

We have a 2016 16TBS and just noticed some floor bubbling in the area in front of our fridge.  Our floor has the brown wood grain look.  Given our unit was built in 2015 it should have the better quality construction.  Any insights as to what floor materials we have and a fix?
