Trailer Maintenance / Re: TPMS

So even though you ultimately decided to be a "tickler" (the imagination will suffice for the rest of that) did your research lead to a TPMS that seemed to be best in class?

Gotta hate intermittent failures.  I'd get a new meter and try it with the existing wires. If it goes wonky you can be pretty darn sure it's a wiring issue.  Either way have a good trip!

I saw on your Victron thread that they told you to get the unit replaced under warranty.  Just to be sure, did you triple check both ends of the small red wire that goes from B1 on the shunt to the battery positive post?

I love having the Victron monitor, it's so much better then wondering....

Other Brands of Aluminum Camper / Intech Sol

Looks pretty nice. One thing I noticed in the specs, 30 gal black tank, 28 gal fresh water, no mention of gray tank. Wonder if they combined black and gray.

Edit: per Intech black and gray are combined.

So basically they didn't put on a label they were supposed to, not a big deal.

Interesting, if you read the comments associated with that picture they are saying interior kitchen and bath. That's a departure for them and it sure looks like they may be going full on travel trailer.

It's aggravating as hell.  A good product with a solid future massacred by inept management.  When I go to buy another RV, and I'm sure I will one day, it  won't be a Thor product based on their demonstrated inability to manage.  If they can't manage one brand chances are that they can't manage any brand. The reason they survive is their overwhelming dominance in the marketplace, not their skill.

My 2013 13QBB is not showing any wear similar to that, also stored outside.

LOL. No stupid questions, MitchB. I looked for some press fit crack indicating how the unit was assembled, but finally gave up and went with my go-to solution for these kinds of things. Took my dremel cutting disk and cut one side off (the hose side). With everything apart, still no idea how they did it! GK

I feel slightly better now  ;)

I have to ask the stupid question, if you were changing the connector in a standard connector assembly, the one with both the city water connection and the water fill port for the tank, how did you remove the existing city water connection from the plastic assembly? I blew up a check valve and replace the whole box assembly because I couldn't see how to just swap out the one connector.

Sounds like what I'm thinking. That tstat you linked is 120 volt though, I'd need 12 volt since I mostly boondock. Thanks for the response!
