We are relatively new campers, so based on our limited experience, this site is by far the most beautiful, well maintained campground we have visited. Majority of full hook-up sites back up to Buck's Creek - a pretty mountain stream. Sites are all decent size, a few premium sites have wooden decks built right to water's edge. Park is down in a valley surrounded by mountains. Owners are great to their clients, do a free pork pull every Saturday evening. Seventh night free. We are camping there in early October in hopes of guessing leaf color change correctly for a change!

Final road to RV Park is "thrilling" with lots of tight turns surrounded by guard rails and mountain! Not really a big problem for Camplite trailers if you take your time & be cautious. We had no trouble with our CL21RBS. However, I did notice a  large fifth wheel with fresh side scuffs on it parked next to us! Also, no cell service but they plan on having wi-fi throughout site in 2018.

Campground Reviews / Myrtle Beach State Park
May 12, 2018, 12:17:48 AM
We spent a week at Myrtle Beach State Park, SC last September and really enjoyed it! If you like the beach environment with a coastal forest background, this would probably be a good choice for you. Facility has a large ocean beach reserved for campers and Park day visitors. Decent biking / hiking trails - none very long but well maintained. Many sites have full hook-ups which wife appreciates! Park is on south side of Myrtle Beach, so plenty of off site resturants, shopping, shows, etc. within easy driving distance if you choose. Have a look at website if it sounds interesting. We are going there again this year at end of May.

One down side is that they require full payment for entire stay at time reservation is made.

Happy Camping!

Has anyone found a durable yet comfortable folding camp chair? We have looked at Amazon reviews and all seem to have somewhat contradictory reviews. Most cost $50 or more with seemingly decent reviews. Hate to spend that much for a couple chairs each without credible feedback like I know is available from honest personal experience like folks on this forum.  Appreciate any feedback!
